Our PROCESS
From Engineering to Finishing to Installation

Collaborating with our client or their designer, we provide a complete set of accurate shop drawings for each project. Every set of drawings receives design approval from the architect or person in charge of the design and are field verified by the contractor/installer.

Our team uses both tried-and-true traditional woodworking methods and modern technologies to create high-quality architectural pieces that will stand the test of time. We’re not tied to one technique. Instead, our versatile craftsmen vary the method of construction based on the needs, challenges and opportunities offered by each job.

A dedicated, professional finishing department gives homeowners an array of choices including standard colors and custom color matching for painted and stained finishes. Typically, this includes lacquer, oil-based, conversion varnish or water-based low VOC (“green”) finishes. All finish work meets the standards of the Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) and is warranted for the quality of craftsmanship.

We work with clients to chose from a wide range of materials, and help them consider the visual appeal as well as the durability of each. These finished pieces will include the beautiful and intriguing variations in color and textures that come from the growing process of natural wood.

Not because we’re old-fashioned. Because it’s the best way to get a smooth, crisp and clean finish.

Offering a “one-stop” solution for New England Woodworking clients – able to not only create the millwork but to ensure its proper installation in your distinctive home. Should you choose to have another team install your new custom cabinets or hurricane windows, we ensure that plans are detailed and comprehensive. We also can oversee installation and troubleshoot on-site.

Typically included for the custom cabinetry we install, and hurricane doors and windows, so that a member of the finishing department can touch up small nicks and scratches that may occur with installation. If you prefer to use your own installer, we can troubleshoot and quickly provide you with estimates on the cost to touch up/make repairs in the field as needed.
